The story behind Salowal
We bring together clinical expertise, lived experience, and commitment to equity in health and wellbeing.

Why Salowal exists
Salowal was founded to bridge the gap between what people and organisations need from mental health support, and what's often available in mainstream services.
We saw individuals from ethnic minorities feeling unseen or misunderstood in therapy. We saw workplaces trying to respond to racism and burnout without the specialist support they needed.
Salowal exists to offer something different: trauma-informed, culturally sensitive support grounded in clinical practice and real-world experience.

What guides our work
Equity
We pay attention to how racism, class, gender, and disability shape health.
Dignity
We work in ways that protect people's dignity, especially when vulnerable.
Integrity
We offer what we can genuinely deliver and are honest about scope.
Care
Care is at the centre of everything we do.
