Why Salowal Exists
Trauma-Informed Therapy, Workplace Wellbeing & Anti-Racism Support in Knowsley & Online.

Bridging the gap in health & wellbeing
Salowal, a multi-award-winning and five stars rated Knowsley based business, was founded in 2021 to close the gap between what ethnic minoritised people and organisations need from health services and what is often available through mainstream provision.
Working across the Liverpool City Region, and online across the UK, we saw consistent challenges: individuals, particularly those from ethnic minority backgrounds, feeling unseen or misunderstood in therapy/health clinics and organisations striving to address workplace wellbeing, burnout, and racism without access to specialist, culturally competent support.
Salowal exists to bridge that gap; delivering trauma-informed therapy, culturally sensitive mental health support, and workplace wellbeing services grounded in NHS clinical experience, evidence-based expertise, and real-world practice.
